Look after your Sexual Health
Tips to take care of your sexual health.
A good way to start is by limiting your sexual activity to only one partner who is having sex only with you. If being monogamous is not your cup of tea, reduce exposure to sexual diseases by fitting these do’s into your lifestyle:
Use condoms, both men and women.
Women should not douche after sex - it does not protect against STDs, could spread an infection further into the reproductive tract, and can wash away spermicidal protection.
During oral sex, have your partner use a condom (male or female).
Check out Kama Sutra and the likes for sexual activities other than vaginal, oral, or anal intercourse - moves that do not involve the exchange of body fluids.
Examine your body and be aware of your partner’s body – look for signs of a sore, blister, rash, or discharge.
Have annual Pap tests, pelvic examinations, and periodic tests for STDs.
Remember most sexually transmitted infections can last a lifetime, cause sterility, birth defects and in some cases lead to major illness and death.
